Mara Hoffman skirt, Marciano tank, Dolce Vita sandals, H&M bracelets, Free People rings

I am forcing myself to introduce more color into my wardrobe, and believe me, when I saw this skirt at Anthropologie earlier this summer, it made it easy. It’s Mara Hoffman, and in my opinion, she can do no wrong. Her S/S collections are always full of bright, fun, tribal prints that make you want to take a resort style vacation. If you haven’t got one planned, go find some Mara Hoffman. It will be inspiration enough to want to go out and plan a glam vacation.

Equipment

I fell in love with Equipment shirts last winter when I found this one at Bloomingdales. Now I can’t get enough of these shirts. Oh. Em. Gee.

Images from Marie Claire, June 2011

Frequently whilst browsing my monthlies, I have a drool moment. June’s came courtesy of Marie Claire, and it has taken me until now to tell you about it, which honestly, still seems premature since in my humble opinion, it’s still very much summer. It has to do with leather. Jackets, actually. I love leather jackets. Especially expensive ones, like these here. Champagne taste!

Theyskens' Theory

Theyskens’ Theory dress, Chloe sunglasses, Jeffrey Campbell shoes, Made Her Think earrings (last seen here)

Sometime this past spring, one of my monthlies featured an article about Olivier Theyskens. Truth be told, what drew me to the article initially was the captivating photo of him. He is very pretty. And youthful looking too, which is why it was surprising to learn that he has been in the fashion industry for some time now– as artistic director for Rochas and then Nina Ricci. Recently, he teamed up with Theory to create Theyskens’ Theory. And suddenly, I can’t get enough of Theory, which really means that I can’t get enough of Mr. Theyskens. I absolutely die for everything he has done so far, including this super sexy leather dress that was totally lacking in that stiffness quality that usually comes with leather clothing. Best part, of course, the pocket. Love pockets!
