The New Savvy

ASTR dress, Zara shoes, Super sunglasses, Topshop bag, jewelry by Tom Binns, Iosselliani, Topshop, and Low Luv x Erin Wasson

Nordstrom recently revamped its Savvy Department to fall more in line with this new Nasty Gal-esque movement towards trendy but affordable fashion. And believe me, I have no complaints. If you haven’t checked it out yet, its a must! This pale pink super sexy zipper dress was something like $70, which is kind of Maj, no?

On the Streets:
Warby Parker

I’ve been wanting to try Warby Parker frames for years now, so when I read that their class trip was headed to LA, I made sure to stop by the fab school bus on 3rd Street (right next to Toast) for a new pair of glasses. I settled for one, but let me tell you, it was hard with all the amazing options. The best part: $95 for a pair of glasses (frames AND lenses). And they are totally on trend. If you are in LA, they are on 3rd until Sunday — definitely worth the trip. If you aren’t in LA, check out their website here. They have an awesome option where they mail you five frames of your choice to try on at home. Coolest thing ever!  And in case you were wondering, which I’m sure you weren’t, but I’ll disclose it anyway: I’m blind as a bat.

The Denim One-Piece

Rag & Bone jumper, Sam Edelman shoes, Aviator Nation hat

A few weekends ago, I was home in Sacramento going through old photos of me as a child, during which I had an epiphamy as a result of observing one common denominator in most of the outfits of my youth: I had a thing for one-pieces even back then. Ok, well maybe my mom had a thing for one-pieces since she presumably picked out most of my clothes, but mom, if you’re reading this (and I know you are), thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wise outfit choice. In fact, it seems I lived in some form of a romper or overalls for most of my under 10 years. Which explains everything! Like I’ve said before, I’ve never met an overall I didn’t fall instantly in love with. I love rompers, short and long. The only time I ever hate the one-piece is when I have to pee badly, at which time, it becomes a high maintenance piece of work. But I’ll take the stripping down naked in public restrooms because hands down nothing compares to the amazingness of a one-piece. This one is courtesy of Rag & Bone. Isn’t it lovely?
